Our Mission: The RidgeRock Way
Bringing Back the Spirit of the Outdoors
We believe in the Great Outdoors. We believe the best adventures don’t come from a careful plan, but from the freedom to get swept up by the world’s awe, creating stories that last a lifetime. We believe in the journey. Where intuition is king, the road gets rough, the views get better, and you’re never too far from a new frontier—emotional, spiritual, or physical. Where gut and grit take the lead, helping you explore new versions of home and yourself.
We believe in the power of a shared moment to bring people closer. That Rigs are more than tricked-out trucks; they’re memory-makers, freedom-drivers, and home for the nights when the stars come out. They carry us across miles of terrain, holding our inner thoughts, quiet moments, wildest dreams, shared laughter, and the excitement of witnessing—or trying—something new for the very first time. We believe in a community that feels like family, where seasoned explorers and first-time overlanders share the trail and pass the torch.
We believe that conservation isn’t just a cause—it’s a responsibility. That the places we explore deserve our respect, and the people protecting them deserve our support. We believe in teaching others how to care for the land, and in making sure the next generation has the chance to feel the same awe we do.
We believe in slow mornings, embracing the elements, and hard-earned views. That tradition still matters, and the best kind of freedom is the kind you find off-grid. We believe in Rigs built with grit, made to go the distance, and then some. Out here, there’s no need to impress—just space to shed the pressure, shake off the polish, break barriers, and reconnect with the playful spark that reminds us who we really are. We answer the call to embrace authenticity, spontaneity, and freedom.
And above all, we believe in Bringing Back the Spirit of the Outdoors—where the pace is slower, life is simpler, joy runs deep, and nature reminds us what matters.
Our Co-Founders
Our work starts with people. Meet the Co-Founders who make RidgeRock possible.
Our Story
RidgeRock Expedition Vehicles began long before the name ever existed.
In 1974, Roly started his career as Rolando Mobile Repairs—a shop on wheels offering auto repair services across Miami. He built a reputation not just on skill, but on honesty, precision, and a deep respect for the craft. As the business grew, so did his vision. Eventually, that mobile service became Rainbow Transmission, a full mechanic shop known for servicing mid-size commercial trucks for local businesses and drivers from far beyond city limits.
RidgeRock is the natural evolution of that legacy. What began as a toolbox in the back of a van has grown into a company that builds expedition vehicles designed to go anywhere—and endure everything. The tools, the grit, and the pride remain the same. Only the horizons have expanded.

1974
It began in 1974 as Rolando Mobile Repairs, a small operation offering mobile auto repair services across Miami, Florida. For Roly, it was more than work—it was the spark that ignited a lifelong love for mechanics, laying the foundation for a career defined by curiosity, grit, and a relentless drive to do things the right way.

1984
Rainbow Transmission, which shifted away from mobile services to better serve our growing customer base, now operates with a team of about 15 employees and an in-house parts department to meet the shop’s demands. Over time, the business evolved from offering general auto services to specializing in the repair and maintenance of Allison Transmissions and cabover trucks—including Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Nissan UD, and Hino models.

1998
Founded in 1998, RC Truck Parts grew out of our expertise in transmissions and our deep understanding of cabover trucks. We specialize in new and used parts for Isuzu NPR, NQR, and NRR models, as well as Mitsubishi Fuso, Nissan UD, and Hino trucks. With an extensive local inventory and warehouse support, we serve customers within the Americas and through our eBay store supply parts to drivers and shops throughout the United States.

2010
Started in 2010, The Machine Shop was created to support Rainbow Transmission with modifications and upgrades to internal transmission parts and components. It also became the launching point for our research and development efforts on 4x4 conversions—work that would eventually form the foundation of RidgeRock Expedition Vehicles™.

2012
Started in 2012, we launched 4x4 conversion services within Rainbow Transmission to help clients in agriculture, landscaping, and snowplowing. These conversions transformed standard trucks into 4x4 heavy-duty machines capable of withstanding the most demanding off-road terrain.

2018
To ensure quality control and meet the demands across all our businesses, we opened the Converter Shop in 2018, creating a dedicated space to produce a steady supply of this essential transmission component.

2020
All these years of passion and expertise in the transmission and truck industry, combined with experience from our previous ventures, culminated in the founding of RidgeRock Expedition Vehicles™ in 2020. With over a decade of experience in 4x4 conversions and building on our patented conversion services, RidgeRock provides sales, conversions, and customizations for 4x4 cabover trucks, transforming them into reliable, off-road-ready Rigs built to go anywhere.

Shop Dog: Cannoli
Meet Cannoli, RidgeRock’s Chief Adventure Officer. In the shop, she keeps us company as we dream big about upcoming projects, events, and everything on the RidgeRock docket. On the road, she’s always first to sniff out a new trail and last to leave the campsite- her absolute favorite is running along any coast! Cannoli keeps our team on schedule (mostly with snacks and belly rubs). From test drives to off-grid outings, she’s proof that every Rig is better with a four-legged co-pilot.
